Halloooo... lange nichts mehr gehört von mir... Urlaub braucht jeder mal, auch ich. Ich war mit meinem Mann auf Mallorca, wie jedes Jahr. Die Buchten sind einfach traumhaft, die ganze Insel ist ein Quell vieler Inspirationen. 

Zudem gibt es breaking news: Ich mache mich gerade selbstständig und gründe ein Taschenlabel, das braucht etwas Zeit. Trotzdem wird dieser Blog weitergeführt und sobald meine website fertig ist, werde ich euch auch verraten, wie mein Taschenlabel heisst und welche Taschen ich mache:-)

Hellooo.... Long time passed since my last post... I was on holiday with my husband, we went to Mallorca, as every year. The bays are amazing and the whole island is a source of inspirations.

Besides I have some breaking news: I am launching my own business which takes some time. I will rise up a brand that does handbags. Of course this blog will continue and as soon as my website and collection is done I will let you know the name of my brand, so tay tuned!

Habe letzte Woche von meinem Kumpel Thöme einen alten Couchbezug aus Leder bekommen. Der schreit ja geradezu nach tollen Taschen!!!
Last week I got this old leather seat cover from my friend Thöme. This is really predestinated to make some nice bags out of it!!!

Das nächste Projekt steht in den Startlöchern... Hier in Winterthur gibt es etliche Brockenhäuser (für alle, die nicht wissen, was das ist, können ja googeln;-), in denen ich liebend gerne auf Schatzsuche gehe. Das beste Brockenhaus ist meiner Meinung nach das Brockenhaus Grüze, indem ich bereits Stammkunde bin. Am Freitag habe ich diese goldene Tasche gefunden, deren Form mir so gar nicht gefällt, aber die Farbe hat es mir angetan. Im Sommer finde ich gold super. Also, seid gespannt, was ich daraus mache...

The next project is already waiting in the wings...We have lots of Brockenhäuser around Winterthur (the ones who don´t know what this is should google;-), and I love to hunt for treasures there. The best Brockenhaus in my opinion is the Brockenhaus Grüze where I am a regular customer. Last friday I found that golden bag. I don´t like the shape but the color. I like golden colored stuff in summer. So check out what I will made out of it...

Dieses coole Bikinioberteil aus Jersey trug einst meine Mäm - bis ich es ihr stibitzt habe ;-) Es ist wirklich super toll, nur leider hat das viele Tragen seine Spuren hinterlassen. Also habe ich heute aus einem Jerseyrest ein neues gemacht ;-)

This cool bikini top made of jersey has been worn by my mum - until I stole it from her ;-)

It´s really totally great but unfortunatley wearing left it´s marks. So today I made a new one of a rest of jersey ;-)

Hier eine einfache, aber meiner Meinung nach sehr süssen Variante einer Jeanstasche. Mit gehäkeltem Blümchen und Holzperlenanhänger - natürlich alles handmade. Die Griffe sind übrigens von einem alten Korb entwendet ;-)

Here we have, in my opinion, a simple but sweet variation of a jeans bag. To go with a crocheted flower and pendant made of wooden pearls - handmade of course. The handles are taken from an old basket ;-)

Aus einer Bundeswehrjacke wurde diese tolle Tasche. Die Jacke habe ich komplett aufgetrennt und die Stücke neu zusammengenäht, damit ich diese grossen Flächen ausschneiden konnte.

Arbeitszeit: 1 Woche

An old jacket of the Bundeswehr has been transformed into that great bag. The jacket has been ripped completely and sewn together in a new way, so that I could cut out the big pieces.

Der Auftrag einer Freundin

Vor einiger Zeit hat mir eine Freundin ihre beiden zu klein gewordenen Lieblings T-Shirts zur Überarbeitung gegeben... Der Wunsch war, eine  sportliche Tasche mit Deckel und Reissverschluss - damit ja nix rausfällt ;-) Ja, es war, vieeeel Arbeit - aber es hat sich gelohnt!

Seht hier, was draus geworden ist.:
Some time ago a friend of mine gave me two of her favourite t-shirts that didn't fit her anymore... It was her wish to get a sportive bag with top cover an zipper out of them. Yes, it's been lot's of work - but in the end it was worth it!

Stunden später - eine tolle Tasche (man beachte die Seitenteile, die aus den Ärmeln der Jacke gemacht sind) Der Träger ist variabel in der Länge und wurde aus dem Bändchen der Trainingsjacke gefertigt

und der Clou: Den Deckel kann man drehen - somit kann sich Pati entscheiden, ob ihr eher nach Foo Fighters oder RUSTY RUSTY RUSTY zumute ist ;-)

Taschen aus alten Klamotten

Hi ich bin Rola und ich liebe Taschen. Am liebsten entwerfe und nähe ich diese selber. Da ich damit schon vor Jahren angefangen habe, kann ich eigentlich alles umsetzen. Allerdings finde ich es langweilig, einfach in einen Laden zu gehen, Stoff zu kaufen und loszunähen. Das kann ja jeder... (fast jeder ;-))

Als Modedesignerin habe ich logischerweise auch ein Faible für Klamotten und davon besitze ich einen Haufen. Natürlich ist unter dem Haufen ein anderer Haufen an Klamotten, den ich nicht mehr anziehe. Morgen mehr.. und auch Fotos
Hi I am Rola and I love bags. I love to design and sew them by myself. As I started doing that many years ago I almost can realize everything. Honestly, I think it's boring just go into a store, buy fabric and start sewing. Anyone can do that (almost:-))
As a fashion designer I logically have a weakness for clothes and own a bunch of them. Under that bunch there is another bunch of clothes I don't wear anymore. To be continued tomorrow... and pics as well
